The Tour of Newport News returns for its fourth year, bringing a three-day, five-event USA Cycling-sanctioned omnium to Newport News, Virginia, from April 10-12, 2026. Designed for cyclists of all levels, this fast-paced event features five unique races throughout the city. With scenic routes and spectator-friendly courses, the Tour continues to be a favorite among participants and supporters alike. Racers will compete for more than $23,000 in cash prizes, adding to the excitement of the most popular bicycle race in the Mid-Atlantic. Event Highlights

Todd Stadium Points Race (Friday, April 10)

City Center Hill Climb (Friday, April 10)

New for 2026, this exciting event challenges riders to climb an eight-story parking garage individually, starting at 20 second intervals.
Crawford Road Time Trial (Saturday, April 11)

This five-mile race tests both physical fitness and mental focus as riders navigate the rolling terrain of historic Crawford Road while trying to set the best individual time.
Newport News Twilight Criterium (Saturday, April 11)
Location: City Hall, 2400 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA
The most spectator-friendly event of the weekend, this race features eight turns within a 1 km figure-eight-shaped course. The Kid’s Fun Race taking place at 12:00p.m, followed by the competitive events starting around 12:15 p.m. City Hall will host local food trucks, drinks, free swag, and opportunities to win prizes.
Fort Eustis Circuit Race (Sunday, April 12)
Location: Anderson Field House, 643 Dickman St, Fort Eustis, VA
The Tour concludes with a unique experience on an active-duty military base. Riders tackle a fast, flat 5 km loop of closed roads that wind past both active and decommissioned military vehicles. The event includes categories for Wounded Warriors and para-racers.
