Interested in a Career in Tourism or the Hospitality Industry?
The Newport News Hospitality Association is offering $1,000 Scholarships!
High school seniors
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- live and attend school in Newport News (public, private or home-schooled).
- have applied to an accredited college or university.
- agree to pursue a field of study in college related to travel/ tourism or hospitality management.
People already working in the hospitality industry
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- be employed in the hospitality industry in Newport News.
- be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- be pursuing or agree to pursue a field of study related to travel/tourism or hospitality management.

Applications are available at NNHA-member hotels, restaurants and attractions, the Newport News Visitor Center, and the Newport News Tourism Development Office located at 700 Town Center Drive, Suite 320 in Fountain Plaza Two. You may also download the scholarship application. The scholarship application deadline is March 31 annually.
