Discover Newport News with the Ambassador Pass!

The Ambassador Pass is a special program designed to give City of Newport News residents and employees the opportunity to experience the incredible attractions in their own community. Each pass covers admission for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 15 and under) and is valid during specific weeks at designated locations.

How to Get Your Pass:
Passes can be picked up at the:

  • Newport News Visitor Center, located at 13560 Jefferson Ave., Newport News, VA 23603 | Daily 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Tourism Administrative Office, located at 702 Town Center Drive, Newport News, VA 23602 | M-F 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Communications Office, located at 6th Floor, City Hall, 2400 Washington Ave., Newport News, VA 23607 | M-F 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM 

Proof of CURRENT Newport News residency or City of Newport News employment is required. Passes are also available to:

  • Active-duty military and spouses residing on Fort Eustis (with proof of address).
  • Christopher Newport University students (with a valid student ID).
  • Newport News retirees (with proof of retirement from the city).

Eligible individuals must be 16 years or older to receive a pass. A Newport News resident or employee may pick up passes for others with proper photo ID. Passes are distributed until February 8, 2025.
