Visit Newport News Honored with ConventionSouth’s Annual Readers’ Choice Award
Received for the third time, this award is a testament to continued excellence!
Newport News, VA, Oct. 30, 2024 – Visit Newport News has once again claimed the prestigious ConventionSouth Annual Readers’ Choice Award – our third recognition for exemplary service that keeps meeting planners returning year after year!
The Newport News tourism office was among 15 Convention & Visitors Bureaus in Virginia nominated by meeting planners. Nominated sites are listed in an online ballot, where meeting professionals and enthusiasts are invited to vote for the best of the best. With over 7,200 voters participating in the selection process and the highest social media interaction to date, this has been the most successful and engaging year yet.
“ConventionSouth readers and fans have once again voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that Visit Newport News has been selected to receive our annual Readers’ Choice Award,” said ConventionSouth Associate Publisher Tiffany Burtnett.
“This prestigious recognition comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals who hold events in the South,” Burtnett continued. “These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have determined that Visit Newport News indeed displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity and service that they require.”
Since 2001, Visit Newport News has earned this honor three times, making the recognition even more noteworthy. Visit Newport News will be featured as an award recipient in the December 2024 Awards Issue of ConventionSouth magazine.
