– Celebrating its 11th year, Newport News Restaurant Week returns Jan. 14-28 with 24 restaurants participating in 2024! Since its debut in 2014, this highly anticipated event has offered diners fixedprice meals at some of the city’s most popular restaurants. Participating restaurants are offering a variety of options that meet your budget at the following price points: Lunch for $15, $20 or $25 and dinner for $30, $40 or $50. Some restaurants have even opted to offer drink, appetizer, and dessert specials in addition to their prix fixe menus. Because we like to think of Restaurant Week as a celebration of dining in Newport News, contests will be held on Facebook to give fans a chance to win a gift card to one of the 24 participating restaurants. Like and follow the Visit Newport News Facebook page for upcoming contest details. Of the two dozen establishments participating in this year’s event, eight were part of the very first Newport News Restaurant Week: Circa 1918 Kitchen & Bar, Crab Shack on the James, Fin Seafood, Harpoon Larry’s Oyster Bar, Melting Pot, Sage Kitchen at Anderson’s (formerly known as the Showplace Café), Schlesinger’s Steakhouse, and Smoke BBQ. Five of the participating restaurants are new to this year’s Restaurant Week. They include Aago Indian and Nepalese Restaurant & Bar, Amaro Italian Bistro & Cocktails, Aroi Thai, Hot Pot 757, and Saté: A New American Experience. Returning establishments include Azzurri Italian Restaurant, Bonefish Grill, Burger Theory, Fairways BBQ & Grill, Farmer’s Table of Newport News, Hayashi Sushi & Grill, Indulge Bakery & Bistro, Kitchen 740 (inside the Newport News Marriott at City Center), Midtown Eats, Second Street Bistro, and Steak & Tonic.
