To commemorate Newport News Restaurant Week, Newport News Tourism is holding two contests over the course of the two-week promotion, Jan. 14-28. For the first contest, contestants are asked to simply fill out an entry form at www.newportnewsrestaurantweek.com/contest to be eligible to win one $50 gift card from a participating Newport News Restaurant Week establishment. A total of 21 gift cards will be awarded to winners in a random drawing. For the second contest, one lucky winner will receive a Newport News Weekend Getaway Package that includes THREE $50 gift cards that can be used for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – along with overnight accommodations at the Newport News Marriott at City Center. The winner will also receive a VIP Passport for two to receive complimentary admission to all Newport News attractions. This contest requires entrants to add a photograph to the comment section of the Visit Newport News Facebook page contest posts. The photo can be a selfie, a group shot, or picture of your meal, but it must clearly show the participating establishment at which you are dining or plan to dine. Don’t forget to include #NNEats with your comment and tag the participating restaurant so we can keep track of your entry! As with the first contest, winners will be selected randomly from the eligible entries received. All winners will be announced on the Visit Newport News Facebook page Jan. 31, so make sure you “LIKE” and “FOLLOW” us to see if you’ve won. Winners have two weeks to claim their gift certificates at the Newport News Visitor Center, 13560 Jefferson Ave., at the entrance to Newport News Park.
